We cannot say enough wonderful things about Destynie, our hospice nurse. From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, gentle, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. I could not say better things about Barbie, Megan, Liz and the entire Gentiva Hospice Care Team from Charlottesville. My mother passed this Sunday after being in Hospice care at home for close to two weeks. These ladies were angels - they were so helpful to my dad, myself and my siblings; explaining everything that was going on, reassuring the family that she was comfortable and seemed happy, and taking the best care of her they could. Gentiva Hospice went above and beyond to provide care for my husband who had suffered a severe stroke. They also provided me such caring and helpful support as the caregiver. We couldn’t have made it without there expertise and support. Barbie, Megan, and Susan were our guardian angels. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of Hospice Care. -Maria
