I haven't been to this facility since I was 15 yrs old, like in '85! I came there with a Christian group called GFS, Girl's Friendly Society from the time i was 7 until i was a jr counselor at age 15. It was my 1st time away from home, my 1st exposure to dorm-like rooms, I learned to swim there. I have sooo many wonderful childhood memories from there. My Gradkids love coming to church camp and they say they have the best meals.
This place is awesome! Every year since 1995, Geneva Center has been home to at least 50 youth from the inner city of Chicago. It has been a safe place to nurture leadership skills & enjoy God's presence and creation.
Geneva Center is my home away from home and a safe and welcoming place to find and be myself. What a wonderful part of my childhood and adult life. I will forever be coming back!
A beautiful site, with warm and welcoming staff. I love walking the labyrinth - it always refreshes my soul. A great place for retreats!
Spent lots of happy time here growing up, can't wait to bring my Wife & Son this summer!!!
