I bought a new GV80. When you buy new you have no unforeseen things that pop up. My mother has a really hard time getting in and out of the GV80. This pushed me to buy a used G80, excellent condition. The only problem is, it only had ONE key fob. Once upon a time I had a Murano that caused me to buy an additional fob. Cost about $200. My husband and I leased a Genesis G70 in 12/21. We turned in the leased vehicle in 10/24. We were over miles and had mild rim rash to one rim. We owed them approximately $3500. We asked for an extension to make payment, and they gave us four months. Prior to the due date, they sent us a settlement statement that is we paid by a certain date we would only owe them $2800. Update 1/28/2026: After reviewing other complaints, I am seeing a "Repeat Red Flag"; Genesis replaces Spark Plugs to defer a known Engine Failure. As a piston moves upward in the Compression Cycle, engine oil is sprayed from below onto the cylinder walls. If the Bore or the Rings have a defect, engine oil gets to the top side of the cylinder and FOULS the Spark Plugs. If your Genesis Service Dept is Changing Spark Plugs and Fuel injectors, it should IMMEDIATELY RAISE A RED FLAG. We are retired. I took $95K of our savings to ... read more
The company is pathetic, unable to do anything to help customers even if the vehicles are bought from a genesis dealership. This entire brand is ridiculous, the people running the dealerships are incompetent, and I guarantee you the corporate office isn't any better.
