The gym is nice, but the 5-day free trial as advertised on the Genesis website is a lie. You will be bait-and-switched to a 1-day trial when you arrive, as it's "at the discretion of management." I used the 1-day trial and left feedback that I appreciated the facilities and helpful staff who don't make these decisions, but I also have principles. I'd be willing to reconsider if any of this ever changed.
Totally unimpressed. We have Fitness Passport but could not scan in via a QR code (not allowed) - it would have been $15 for a casual visit. We don’t live locally. WTF!!! Parking was painful (so many spots dedicated to other businesses). We won’t be back! No problems scanning in at the aquatic centre.
I had a very disappointing experience at this gym on Thursday, 20/02/25. As a Disability support worker, I visited with my participant to explore a free trial and see if the gym would be a good fit for him. Unfortunately, the front desk staff member was unhelpful and lacked basic customer service skills. When I inquired about the trial, she briefly stated it was a three day pass. Appalling service from staff. They promised that there wouldn't be a cancellation fee but are trying to impose one and instead of discontinuing payments have continued billing me after 3 months despite me giving notice of injury. Very frustrating and expensive. I have 3 family members paying them. According to NSW ombudsman this company is notorious for scamming.
