What Genesis counselors and administrators lack in professionalism, they make up for it by their lack of honest communication. This business is clearly modeled to take your insurance money, and true help is not in their paraprofessional skill set or interests. I was remanded to complete a 30 day program, when that goal was successfully met, Genesis became dismissive, unclear with solid treatment plans and then stopped communicating altogether. I used to go here but after being rudely harassed by my therapist about the outfit i was wearing; i decided to no longer keep going. I’m 100% sure she targeted my outfit b/c, at that point i was going through a lot and was putting some weight. She would always have snotty remarks. Don’t know if she still works here but just try to stray away.

There are good therapists there, but the turnover is ridiculous. They keep people much Longer than needed in the substance-abuse program. I worked there for a year and a half and then was fired when I was going Through my mental health issues. Terrible administration, embarrassing

This facility notoriously keeps people way beyond any reasonable length of treatment. New Life addiction services completely disagreed with Genesis’ evaluation and was a fraction of the time to complete. New life also takes Medicaid and obviously has much more qualified staff. I was also denied access to file a formal grievance.
