When you schedule an Urgent Care appointment online and fill out all that info, nothing seems to sync in their system, and you end up standing at the window for 15 minutes or more. I would recommend going to a Trinity Health clinic or a clinic connected to the University of Iowa. Theirs are quick and simple, and Mercy is just a mess, especially for active duty military. They don't seem to know how to put in insurance info for Tricare Prime.
Saturday morning = wait wait wait. Got there at 930am. Was not called back until 1030. I was there for a blood draw. People were there for the same that made appointments and waited just as long as me. When I finally got called back, the nurse had mentioned to me "they only have one of us here on the weekends". No complaints on the kindness or quality of care....just a lot of waiting. Im not complaining but posting this because not everyone is as patient as me.
I do like coming when needed but came in today had a terrible medical assistant. Tina or something. Very very rude cut me off and didnt let me speak. Very rude! Definitely suggest reevaluating career paths if youre so miserable. Other staff is kind and friendly.
I had Stephanie as my nurse and she was very sweet and listened to all my concerns! I really appreciated her kindness and hospitality! The nurse practitioner was good, very short though but all in all it was a satisfying experience.
Came in for my boyfriend and they said they had an hour wait and it’s been longer than that you can hear people just talking and laughing in the back
