My experience with Genesis was extremely disappointing. I found the practice to be disorganized, especially when it came to insurance, and we were repeatedly given information from Genesis that was contradicted by the insurance companies themselves. Even when we had documentation and confirmation directly from the insurance companies and proof with email exchanges, we were still told things that were not accurate. Mrs. Pye is a wonderful midwife! I saw her last year while I was pregnant and although I didn’t give birth at Genesis my experience was great. She took her time getting to me and my family. She was knowledgeable and helped me improve my overall health. I’m grateful for my time at this office.
I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding my recent experience. I was declined services due to my weight, despite being otherwise healthy. My weight gain has been related to PCOS and now pregnancy. After working extremely hard to lose weight prior to becoming pregnant, I have unfortunately regained some weight during pregnancy — something that can be very common and medically influenced. I came here for my annual women’s exam (not pregnant yet and never have been) because I was looking for holistic care and who better to trust than a midwife, right? I can say I absolutely loved my experience! Everyone was super nice and warm from the receptionist to the medical assistant to the midwife.
