IS the best!! I was visiting family in the area and wanted to have my pictures developed. My pictures were wonderful!! The quality, especially for the price, was great! And...I found the customer service to be one of the best. As an amateur photographer, they treated me as though I was a professional. They went out of their way to find a part to my manual Pentax that was "no longer available. I now order my pictures online from Gene's from Louisiana!!
Not the best The people at Genes really know what they are doing. They can give you great tips and recommendations on equiptment and such. However, they aren't businesspeople. The store is unorganized. I've had lots of issues with them not stokcing supplies that they have assured me that they do carry in stock, and then not even being able to tell me when they'll get those things in. I've been so frusterated that I've gone elsewhere. Its a shame, because the people there are a real assett.
Bad experiences After two bad experiences with what I thought was the most respected professional photography store in the area, they have lost a customer. The first time I went in there it was looking for professional level digital photography media. Although the inventory stated that they did have my product in stock, they refused to look for it when it wasn't where htey "thought it would be". Genes Camera Store This camera store usually never has items you want in stock and offers items usually at higher prices than nationwide chains. When I went in there staff is pretty knowledgeable on items on what they do have, but I would recommend on going somewhere else if you can. PROS: Nice staff CONS: Overpriced items
