The General's Cabin - 'It's only 8 miles but feels like 20' - what an absolute gem. We stayed here for a weekend and loved every moment. Google maps brought us right to the cabin gate. It is a beautiful cabin in the middle of the woods. There are no smart devices here, just DVDs and books. The cabin forces you to enjoy each others time, a true getaway. It is one of the most unique places in Kentucky. Easy to book and check in. The property is beautiful and very relaxing. It's one of the quietest places I've been. We've gone twice and wouldn't hesitate to book again. The story of the general adds a mystique to the cabin. My girlfriend and dog love it as well.

Perfect spot to get away from it all. Pet and kid-friendly, secluded and overall lovely! Can’t recommend it enough for a respite away from it all. Private pond and hiking path, tens of acres all to yourself! Can’t find a better place to unwind. Fantastic hosts who’ve thought of it all!
