10 years ago General Solar installed our solar hot water heater. We just had it replaced with an electric hot water heater and when we did, the plumber found MULTIPLE problems. The first thing he noticed was that this oval shaped ball above the tank was horizontal rather than vertical. Our plumber said this part would not work correctly in a horizontal position. "we don't do solar anymore", We live in the Valley of the Sun. Excellent-Honest Straight Forward Company EXCELLENT COMPANY. It was a pleasure doing business with them. We had the misfortune of having our old system fail. Called several solar companies. Some had the adacity to ask to be paid for a service call just to come out and give me an estimate. One company did send out someone who barely spoke english.
