Great .service when we bought but terrible service after the sale. The motor coach was filthy when we came to pick it up. Dead insects, dirt everywhere, nuts , bolts and screws everywhere. We asked them to clean it 3 times and finally took delivery just to get it home and clean it. There were so many problems related to the set up of the RV, for example: Missing curtains, led lights not working, wrong faucet installed, full wall panel not attached, just loose with staples on it, the router for the TVs was not checked. Such a headache. I have been lied to about services from Day 1. Promised a solar panel- finds out months later that my unit isn't even wired for it. Promised a refund- it has been 8 months and I haven't seen it. Have tried to talk to multiple people about it- always busy. I am currently sitting in the service waiting area right now on Friday to get my trailer that was supposed to be done on Monday. They didn't even start on it until today. I have nothing good to say about General RV. Avoid at all costs; I wish I had.
Our experience was a complete debacle. After negotiating a price for our trade-in and new monthly payment with Ken, we were asked to come in last Thursday to sign the financial paperwork. We had a 4 pm appointment. We showed up at 3:50 and they were not expecting us, so we waited 30 minutes for them to print the paperwork. Called them for an estimate to repair a floor that was damaged with a tire blew out. It was 100% covered by the insurance. Even after the insurance company APPROVED the repairs, General RV was going to charge us a $170 insurance estimate fee! UNREAL! They said it would take at least one month go get approval from AAA (already had it,) and up to another month for the AAA check to arrive. We then called Philips RV in Mount Morris. Purchased a 2022 Primetime Sanibel 3802WB from General RV at the Hersey PA show Sept 2021. Paid to have the 5th wheel hitch installed in our brand new 2021 RAM 2500. We scheduled our appointment on November 13th 2021 to have the Harrisburg PA location install our 5th wheel hitch. Our appointment was at 9am. Matt (the Service tech Manger)took our truck at 930am. In October of 2020, my class B motorhome, a Coachman Galleria built on a Sprinter chassis, was taken to your service facility for evaluation of a repair. The job was assigned to Service Advisor Mr. X. He reported that the Macerator pump housing needed to be replaced. An order was put in to Thetford for the part. I would love to give this shady dealer 0 stars. The process to get our travel trailer was relatively easy. Our first camping trip revealed a stuck grey tank valve. It took several calls to get an appointment for the warranty work. Now, our trailer has been at their service department for two weeks. We were promised a phone call the Monday after we dropped of the trailer. We never received it. We have called several times. Bought a pop up trailer, went on the road with it heater went out, lights are flickering. Air conditioner went out and I am in Las Vegas 108 degrees. Had RV repair come out the compressor wasn’t bolted down right and the hoses went everywhere. Need a new one , over $2000. I wouldn’t recommend these people to anyone.
Do not buy from them, horrible. They could care less after u purchase. Please put them.out of business. I'm gonna post.every single day from now. Why, cuz they are horrible!!!!!!!!!
