We bought our Winnebago Mini March 30, 2025. Everyone bent over backwards to be nice. We had to meet service etc. We were told full warranty on everything for one first year. We bought extra insurance etc. Well we got a recall letter in August. We were up North, so waited til November to bring it in for service. We were told come in and they can look to see if the recall applies: but we went in and it was 5 hours wait. They would not let us leave the unit there. We made an appointment for Monday at 9:00. Do not sign up for all their extra warranties The business manager, Steve Knapp, will sign you up for thousands in those which believe me you don’t need. Their service is great.
We purchased a motorhome at the Hershey show from General Rv. picked up on 10/2 at West Chester dealer. RV was ready for the walk thru on arrival. We looked over very carefully and asked lots of questions. We were very pleased with everyone at the dealership.
Once the sale is over they are done with you. No one to complain to they are not interested.
This was the worst service experience we ever had. From the moment you walk in the door until you receive your bill, they are tying to upsell anything and everything. You first get "interviewed" about your service issue even though you already described it when you made the appointment. You think the "appointment" is when your RV is going to be repaired but suprise that slides into another day because they have emergencies. I wish that I could leave a “0” rating! We drove 8+ hours to deal with this location and put a deposit on a motorhome before we left. Although our sales consultant was great, the motorhome was “sold” by another salesperson due to a cash offer on our sales consultants day off. We were never contacted until after the fact by the sales manager (Tom P.), who was rude and covering his tail since the fact that there was a contract on the unit already. Worst service experience I have ever encounter in my entire life!!! DO NOT purchase an RV from General RV of Wixom, MI. During walk through it was noted something was broken. Part was to be ordered (Never was). Drove RV home and all kinds of wires fell by brake pedal (the dash panel to be reattached and wires wore to be taken care of per the salesperson when pointed out when first looking at unite on lot). 2 weeks after having unite took back in for a number of issues. The worst RV sales Experienced in over 15 years. The new trailer that we look at for a client was not prepared properly, the spare tire was not correct, batteries was missing,LPG tanks emptied, bugs sprayed on frontal area. The sales manager ridiculed the buyer on the fact that “eventually everything rust”, he will regret this statement now.
