Favorite casual hangout spot – Poor's is definitely my favorite place to go for a few drinks and some jukebox music and pool playing. The bartenders know how to make a good margarita, and I'm pretty picky. I've never had anything short of a great time :)

Bar food extraordinaire! – Outside of the workers in the area, General Poor's remains a well kept secret. It is busiest at weekday lunch because the Bergen County courthouse is across the street. All the office workers in the other buildings must keep them hopping as well. But in the late afternoons, there is always room in the dining room, and the food is excellent! They have a large bar as you enter, and a loyal gaggle of regulars that take in the sports on the TVs around that area. there are two TVs in the dining room too... read more
