We often stop here when we travel. Never had a bad experience, or meal. I love the location, out of the way, nestled amongst the cane fields. Its iconic and it's Qld . My only gripe? The plants looks so sad on previous visits they've always been loved and nutured. Guess the new owners are more interested in turning a profit rather than create a lovely outdoor area.
Friendly old-style pub, good food, live music on Sundays. Camping available. Loved it!
Had the best experience when visiting General Gordon. Camped out back in our van and were made very welcome on arrival. Highlight was watching AFL in the front bar and meeting all the locals. 🍻
