Had my first appointment today that was booked a month in advance. Emailed them my insurance card at time of booking and was told it would be accepted. Arrived on time, provided my insurance card and filled out standard forms. After an hour wait, the office says they won’t see me unless I pay the estimated cost of service in advance due to my insurance plan deductible. I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Zitser, and I cannot express how relieved I am to have found such a dedicated and skilled neurologist. After struggling for some time with severe balance and head jerking issues that made it difficult for me to walk. I’ve been to many other doctors before seeing Dr. Zitser. This visit sticks out. He tells you everything as he sees it and isn’t afraid to challenge other diagnoses. And he was right! After his diagnosis I feel like my old self and no pain at all. He made me feel comfortable and confident in my journey to healing. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience by this doctor and the time to get an appointment was well worth it. I have always appreciated the care and expertise of the doctor, who is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. However, I have had repeated frustrations with the reception staff. I recently had an urgent issue regarding my migraine injection, as I have been out of supply for a month. I called the office 22 times, only to be placed on hold for 15-30 minutes each time or to have the call picked up without anyone speaking. This took my entire one hour lunch break.
