Much like others, we have had a horrible experience. We purchased a new home and Gene's Flooring did the vinyl plank installation as well as the tile work. Atrocious work for both. We had a representative come to our home with the builder to go over the issues. I even suggested fixes for the tile work that I had researched. 5 weeks later and three follow ups from us, and I cannot get any work moving forward. We ordered flooring from Gene’s in Gulf Shores with the assurance that it would take 3-5 business days to get materials and installation would be scheduled right after that. After 2 weeks, we set up an appointment for “first thing” today. When no one showed up, we went to the store to find that we are not on the schedule and the flooring is back-ordered! No one even had the courtesy to call us and let us know of the change, and now we have all of our belongings in the middle of our living room that we get to our back!
Terrible! Anything that could seemed to go wrong did go wrong. Installation was delayed due to a bad lot of tile. When the replacement tile came in it too was defective. Genes installed the bad tile anyway. Tile was not level, chipped tile was used, tile was not strait, grout didn't match. Eventually most of these issues were corrected but not completely and not without a tremendous amount of undue stress. I would NEVER use Genes again!

We installed flooring throughout this home in the middle of last year through Mr. ******'s builder. There was a slight delay on tile installation due to some of the tile being packaged with wrong color. This tile was not installed, hence the delay. One of the many issues the homeowner had was that he did not like the chatter marks in the tile he picked out. This is not a defect, but a characteristic of the particular tile.
