Worth the cost of airplane tickets. I travel from Northern California to have my hair cut by Rachel; that is how good she is. She is wonderful!
Gene Martin Salon is excellent. Gene has been cutting my since I was in highschool, for over 25 years now. His skills are excellent and he is personable and caring. Whenever I get compliments on my hair, which is often, I always make sure to tell the person about Gene Martin Salon. Just make sure you book in advance, if you have particular days/times that you like to be seen.

Hair Flair The Gene Martin Salon on Villa at Altadena Drive is an easily accessible, medium-sized salon in a quiet neighborhood. It is well-lighted, and painted in tranquil sage tones with black accents which is just one feature that adds to the calm of the experience. Great hidden treasure I love going to Mark. He has a great sense of what will look good with your facial structure, you skin tone and your lifestyle. I can usually describe something I want - or maybe just what I don't want and come out with exactly what I wanted. He books up fast - sometimes I have to book 5 or 6 weeks in advance, usually when I am leaving one appointment, I make my next one right there. He has some really early appointments - even on Saturdays - so I can get it out of the way.
