My extremely poor experience with this business began when I scheduled a new client consultation for individual tax preparation services. I met with a female CPA who asked a few questions, gave me an estimate for the preparation, and said that I should hear back that my return was ready for filing in 2 weeks or less. 3 weeks went by and no call. Gene was great! We used his services for our personal taxes. Gene was thorough and covered all the bases. We received our return within a few weeks after meeting with him.
We have been using Gene Fuehrer to do our taxes, both business and personal, for the past several years. He has done an excellent job, is very responsive, knows the laws, and gets it done even when we are slow in getting the information to them. I highly recommend him!
Do NOT ever use this practice! At first I had a great experience until the IRS didn't get one of my returns from 2014 that I paid Gene $135 to file. Then Gene and his staff pretended like they were going to help me out and deal with the IRS on this last month and today I get a bill for $135 and Gene tells me first that "I am not thinking clearly" and that he doesn't guarantee the IRS gets the mail that's up to the post office.
