We visited Gen Korean BBQ for a family birthday celebration with family visiting from Cali. We had a 6:00 PM reservation and were seated shortly after, which was impressive for a large party! However, the service and atmosphere were a bit of a rollercoaster. The Service & Drinks 🧋 The biggest downside was the wait for drinks. Our waters didn’t arrive until an hour into the meal. The food quality is beyond terrible. The meat is the cheapest cuts and we’ve bought the premium option, there are no sauces or seasoning, and everything sticks to the grills that are never changed. The floor is covered in oil, so you could easily slip. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a worse Korean BBQ.
Jason our waiter was amazing and the food was great! We would highly recommend. If you go for lunch too it’s more reasonable and one of the best meals on our trip to Maui.
Lizzy was absolutely amazing. She was super attentive the entire time, made sure we had everything we needed, and kept everything running smoothly. Our food came out really quickly, and she stayed on top of changing the grills at the perfect pace. You can tell she really cares about her job. 10/10 service. I’d come back just because of her!
