Had to wait almost 2 hours to be seated for a Saturday dinner. Once we sat they took our orders quickly and we received our first orders with little wait. However as time went on we did have our orders come back late or not at all.
I had a great experience at GEN Korean BBQ House. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly every time we ordered. The variety of meats and side dishes is amazing, and everything is high quality—especially the marinated short ribs and beef belly. The staff was friendly and attentive, constantly checking in without being overbearing, and making sure our grill was changed out when needed. We came here at peak time on a Sat. evening. The wait was over an hour but we started at 18th in line behind a few large (10+) groups. 5/5 stars because the wait was worth it for the food & especially the service. Beto was such a kind, quick, attentive, & overall amazing & welcoming waiter. Throughout the night he made sure to keep an eye out & check in w us for any refills, sides, additional rounds of meat, & any other needs. Awesome service! Thank you Beto!
We put our names on the wait list and I headed to the bar for a drink. The bar was full of dirty cups and half drinks. Take that stuff to the back and out of sight. Food has definitely taken a hit. Calamari tastes like cheese. Appetizers were over cooked and some even looked old. I'm not sure what happened to this place but hopefully management fixes these issues.
