The guy on the phone is a clown. My boss needed metal so I gave the guy the dimensions I needed and he acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about. You work at the metal shop, don't answer the phone if you don't know what you're doing. I need some aluminum pipe with specific dimensions. Not that hard
I walked in with a broken plastic dog door closure panel, asking for what I couldn't find anywhere else: a heavy, metal, Pyrenees-proof replacement. Guy took (I **** you not) less than 10 minutes to create a brand new custom metal closure panel made exactly to my specifications and without ever seeing the original door. He even smoothed the edges to protect the housing bracket AND welded a nice handle onto it--for under $25! I went home and to my immense satisfaction, it slid perfectly into the bracket!
