I hate having to write this especially because I’ve been a customer here for YEARS. I came in to get a regular pedicure because I’m allergic to gel. The lady pictured did my nails and complained the entire time. I had her redo my nails initially because she painted them pink when I asked for French tip. Don’t book the last appointment available or they will make you feel unwelcome and the lady in the front will hound you to pay and then also be rude when you try to ask for change to tip the staff! “Why didn’t you give it to him, he has change”. Lady- I do not know that and you’re the front desk cashier. What is your problem? They also have only one girl that can do design and not many color choices.

I live in New York, where I own a hair salon in the Lower East Side. My parents live in Belmont Heights, so I come to visit often. When I’m home I always go to Gem to treat myself.
