Gem Electric Supply, Inc got its start in February of 1970, when partners Bill Conrad and John Manning bought an electrical supply store at 3143 W. 95th St. in Evergreen Park. They also bought an empty building at 10334 S. Michigan Ave. in Roseland. With much hard work, and many long hours, both stores began to thrive.
