I saw Dr. Rios who was very nice and very knowledgeable. There is a large staff of technicians who do the various tests and they were very good and efficient. Things moved along quickly and the wait was not long between each test. Dr. Rios did my laser surgery at the end of the visit so I didn't have to make a separate appointment because I live in rural Manitoba and it takes hours to drive in. So it was all quick and efficient and I went home same day with the tests and surgery all done. This is an excellent clinic.
I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this clinic. Three weeks ago, I had an eye exam here and was scheduled to meet the doctor today at 9 a.m. The clinic called me yesterday to move the appointment to 12:30 p.m. due to an emergency, and anyway I agreed. When I arrived, the receptionist didn’t greet me or make any eye contact—just told me to “wait.” The clinic wasn’t busy at all, which made it feel even more disrespectful. I attended Gem Clinic on July 10th/25. I was there for a test only and not slated to see Dr. Zuniga. However,upon arrival I mentioned I was having issues with my eye.Everyone involved,from the receptionists,technicians,Dr Zuniga and her student were so kind and concerned. They squeezed me in at the end of the day and even though I was cutting into their home time they were all so thorough,professional and reassuring. I never once felt that I was an inconvenience. Wasted my time going there. They have the worse receptionist and doctors didn't show up for my appointment. I travelled 2 hours there and 2 hours back. A total waste of time! My appointment was today July 11th at 12:45. They made the appointment for me
