I had an initial consult with Julie Hockan. Didnt like it at all as she gave me 0 time to answer any questions i had & seemed to be extremely rushed & apathetic. Also there were too many mix ups regarding my appt date & time prior to my actual date. Wouldnt recommend them at all.
I retained this firm and specifically requested a senior lawyer for my divorce. Between October and April, I paid approximately $34,500 without any meaningful resolution. Throughout the process, I did not feel that my lawyer, Evan, was advocating firmly or attentive to what was actually happening. This was communicated with him directly. I'm now writing this review because I've been court ordered to re-do my initial pleadings based on October oversights . This was not the first time documents had to be resubmitted.
Julia Hockin was excellent to work with during a family law matter. She took over my file partway through, quickly got up to speed, and was organized, responsive, and thoughtful throughout the process. She took the time to explain my options clearly, answered my questions honestly, and respected my decisions, even when they differed from her recommendation. I had an initial consultation with this firm, where I was assured that they would be able to assist in a unique, highly sensitive matter, so I sent the transfer to secure my appointment with a lawyer. In my consultation, I felt that Stephanie Joe was more interested in telling me about the law than listening to the circumstances of my case. Likely, I will seek a civil lawyer, which would have been a more reasonable recommendation from the original consultation. Buyer beware.
