Had an appointment with Annie for the first time. I was asked if a student could come in i very clearly said no. As i laid about to be examined a girl walked in . I repeated that i did not want a student in the room. They told me she wasn't a student and she was her “assistant” i voiced that i would prefer if it was just me and the Dr. They responded with reasons as to why she needed to be there. I’ve been using Geisinger for a few years now and it’s really gone downhill. I went for a postpartum visit early February for an IUD placement and 6 week follow up in which I was undressed and waited an hour for them to tell me they didn’t have time for the IUD today and didn’t need to do an exam (even though I ended up being billed for an exam and she charted normal findings in her notes) so I was to reschedule. In November I was originally scheduled to come in March, but I opted to be on the waitlist if something else became available sooner. I specifically asked the system scheduler to have someone who can insert Nexplanon into my arm. The earlier appointment I was offered was with a provider that did not have the training to do that. So therefore I took time off work and scheduled my time around an appointment that was wasted. Every time i call this place its an hr long hold time & for them to have no appointments it’s honestly so frustrating worst place ever
No appointments? I have a medical condition that needs attention, but I was told that "there are no appointments" in any of the offices from Scranton to Wilkes Barre and "we are prioritizing our pregnant patients." It has always been difficult to get an appointment but to be turned away is outrageous.
