I am personally not a fan of the doctors here. I went here for a total of around 5 years. Haven't been their since 2024 . I do use their pharmacy though. I was misdiagnosed during covid around 2022. Its a shame really because local wise this is really the only place for the people of Pottsville unless you are willing to drive . The doctors don't seem to be very knowledgeable. I normally use the orwigsburg office, unfortunately my doctor left on short notice and I had to go to the pottsville clinic. With that said this will be my last time using Geisenger as my medical providers. The staff were great however the physicians assistant was the most insensitive incompetent provider I have ever dealt with and I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go to Reading or Allentown and see a real doctor who doesn't treat patients like numbers. As far as the pediatric section ... read more

Staff is nice, however if you get Dr. Laccarino, I would recommend asking for a different doctor. I have been suffering with GERD, and I went to see him for that as well as other issues. Most of those issues were glanced over, and blown off, and he put me on omeprazole for the gerd, stating get ahold of him if it doesn’t improve. I waited a week, messaged him on MyChart, and didn’t hear back for days, did the same thing, and still didn’t hear back. I got the flu and asked for a z pack. I was told by the nurse that I have to get an appointment because they won't give me antibiotics without one, but nothing available because of holiday so I should go to urgent care . I don't understand what is the point of having a family doctor if you can not get appoint to see them when you are sick. You might as well start using a urgent care and ER rooms for your family doctors because you will be dead by time you are able to get appoint with this practice.
