I went to this urgent care two nights ago, arriving 33 minutes before closing time. There was one other patient before me, and within 10 minutes I was in a room being seen. That part is great. But holy cow. At the end of my appointment I walk out of the exam room. The provider doesn’t tell me which way to go. I take some twists and turns. It’s desolate. Not a soul in sight. Tonight was the second time I went to this Urgent Care and I'm still sadly disappointed. The first time I went there I told the PA that I had a sinus infection she gave me a real low-grade antibiotic I asked for a Z-Pak she told me we do not treat sinus infections with Z packs. I ended up getting even more sick from the antibiotic and had to go to the hospital. For stomach issues because I was severely dehydrated from throwing up so much. 0 stars if I could. Ended up paying $957 (got charged $3000) for an issue that can be cured for $25 over the counter because Leah Merrick is incompetent. Not only did they give me tests that came out normal, but they continued to assume that this was the problem. She even lied to me and said that a doctor from a different location looked at the test results and recommended further blood testing. Then she sent me to the location of the doctor. I was a walk in and two people were in front of me. The receptionist called me and told me that I was going to be there for 2 hours before I was seen. And when I told her what I needed; which was get swabbed for the flu or Covid she told me that I had better luck with the over the counter test because they wouldn’t even swab me. She didn’t refer me to somewhere that I could get swabbed. It was a waste of time
Went to this Geisinger Satellite in June for the first time. I was greeted by Marsha(Receptionist) with a smile who was both efficient and kind. Michelle T.(phlebotomist) took my blood sample without any discomfort and Zoe the Technician efficiently did my EKG. For my second visit, I was greeted by Shantese Wilson another delightful person. Alison Galka set me up for my Urinalysis and luckily she was there a bit later which saved me from having to come back on another day.
