The perfect mix of ineptitude, dishonesty, and apathy - that sums up the company, the employees, and the culture. Gehan (now known as Brightland) is an utter disaster. After 18 months of construction delays from the time we signed up, including a 10% price escalation, we cancelled because the house wasn't worth it at that point. The market had significantly changed during that time while Gehan worked at such a slow pace.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUILDER. OUR HOME WAS SUPPOSED TO CLOSE AT THE END OF JANUARY 2022, THEN GOT MOVED TO MARCH 2022, THEN GOT MOVED TO JUNE 2022 THEN POSSIBLY JULY, NOT JUST GOT TOLD PROBABLY LOOKING SEPTEMBER 2022. CONTRACT WAS S8GNED MARCH 2021 AND THEY JUST KEEP PUSHING BACK AND BACK. DONT RECOMMENDED THIS BUILDER AT ALL IF YOU WANT TO WAIT OVER 24 M8NTHA TO GET YOUR HOME. WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER CLIENTS OF THEIRS IN SAMR SITUATION.

We bought a spec home and had no choice in the design. This is what we got. There is nothing that goes together. I think they took whatever was left over and put it in our home. I am so disheartened that I just want to cry.
