Best Buy made sure I'll never set foot there again. Let'em die a big-box-brick-and-mortar death. By Geek Squad policy, they will not repair a Dell laptop not purchased at Best Buy. Would've been nice to know that when I made the appointment online, before half a day off work to drive there and back. Note this is nothing to do with the people there, who were kind and are doing their best with a money-grubbing employer. Adios, 'Best Buy.' Now I need a new computer, and you can be sure where I will NOT buy it.
Seekonk MA gentleman was great . Solved my issue and showed me a few things too.

You can't even call the store directly. It sends you to a national call center and they can't answer the simplest questions.
