Disappointing Experience with Geek Squad at Best Buy I booked a service appointment through Apple Support to have my phone glass repaired at the nearest Geek Squad location, with the first available time being 5:20 PM today. Geek squad/ apple care partnership is trash . They told me I’m best off going to apple directly
The service is horrible. The entire experience was shady to say the least Jocelyn the Geek squad specializes said my laptop needed to be sent out for repair because they don't repair those device's there. But stated to speed up the process the computer could be diagnose for $100 charge. I rufused to pay extra since my insurance covered repairs. She continued the process to check in my device. If you own an Apple product, do NOT take it to Geek Squad at Best Buy. Completely useless. The guy that took a look at my iPad (stayed frozen @ Apple logo when turning on) told me there was nothing he could do about it and that’d I’d have to buy a new one. I decided to take it to an actual Apple store and they were able to fix it. I did lose everything but luckily I had everything important backed up. Beats paying for a whole new iPad though.
I turned in my computer for repair and was expected for it to only take 7-10 days... It has been over a month and I have tried contacting customer support and I was informed their system was down and they cannot track the status of my repair. They said they would call me back and I have yet to hear anything back after a week.
