I can see why there are so many 1-star reviews.....to start, good luck trying to even get them on the phone. You have to deal with a terrible AI bot, which then dumps you into some foreign call center where you cannot understand a word they say. I finally booked an appointment for them to come fix issues on my pc. They show up, dont even take off their jackets or shoes, mess with my pc for like 20 minutes, tell me I'm good and leave. Just wanted to say BIG THANKS for Doug's very expert help at the Rochester NY Marketplace Best Buy location yesterday (5Mar2025). He fixed our laptop issue very quickly and was great to work & talk with. This is why we always seek the Geek Squad's help with computer-related issues. I had purchased a small laptop earlier that day that only had 500mb of useable memory left and no matter what I did I couldn't delete enough to make it functional. I called geek squad and they were able to get me in the next day. I waited, maybe 40 seconds, before someone started working on the laptop. He, being the magician he was, freed up 13gb of data and made it more user friendly, and deleted everything on there that I didn't want, AND set it up so it ran perfectly for exactly what I wanted it to do. Made an appointment for a iPhone battery replacement, show up early, suggested to come back to the counter closer to appointment time, I get there and both employees ignore me and just keep talking to two other customers. One employee would not break from their excessively long conversation. When I finally interrupted someone helped then I was told they couldn't replace the battery because there was no service message indicating it needed to be replaced. These people are awesome! Our old computer was found to be corrupted. After we purchased a new one, the "geeks" were able to transfer most of the date from the old one, as well as set up everything for us. Thanks so much!
