Tried to sell my wife a $1000 laptop. Instead of replacing a $40 battery. All Geek Squad had to do was open the old laptop and see that the battery needed replacing. Use AI and a good tutorial and fix it yourself.
Never really one to leave a bad review but I’m shocked. I came in Monday and wanted to get more information about how the process looked as I have never used Geek Squad before and had heard great things. Marc let me know they check the computer without charge for what’s going on and I go buy the part and bring it to them to replace and they charge based on the part replacement. Geek Squad a total bust - went to get my phone screen fixed which I entered as my need when I made the appointment - showed up, took 20 minutes for them to say they couldn't fix it and I had to go to Apple. It would have been great had the been transparent about what they will and will not fix prior to my wasting my time and theirs.
This Best Buy has a great price variance, but the time I went here they had risen their prices for some TV flat wall mounts. The Wall mounts were good quality. Best Buy does have a large variety including tablets, TVs, Video Games and Phones. All of which I have bought at Best Buy some time or another. I do believe that Best Buy has good policies with regards to returns. The rewards program require you to login and is not emailed to you as a coupon which is a negative since you have to check on it.
