I went to look for a new place to buy nice area.
Buyer beware!!! We had no idea how bad and insufferable the HOA staff would be when we moved in. In our time at Geddes lake which happened to be just over a year. We were fined for having our garbage can put 10 minutes past the deadline, having a football in our yard that didn’t belong to us. Using the community dumpster on a weekend and charging us late fees for turning in our HOA dues which were always turned in on time. We lived at Geddes Lakes when our3 were toddlers to elementary school age. We saved to buy a house in Ann Arbor….Geddes Lake boasted a roomy v nicely architect designed 2 story Condo … lovely living! Lots of space ; easy living in & outdoors! …sledding in winter swimming in summer. Our friends and We loved living & entertaining ther!! I would move back in a minute. My Son & his family also lived there! What an asset this development is!! Drive thru and consider your options!!sorry I no longer have photos of there!
Like living in a Northern Michigan cottage in the middle of the city. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The condo association is strict but they're honest and keep up the property.
Careful!! They will destroy and confiscate your private property if they deem it appropriate. Case in point: If you park your bike outside, they cut off your lock and take your bike until they can figure out who to give a "notice" to.
