We have had the Kohler generator less than 2 years. We had a service done April 18th at a cost of over $400. Four months to the day after the service the power goes out and the Kohler generator fails All our neighbors Generac units were running fine. Geco was able to come and service this within 4 DAYS. If this had been a real emergency that could have been 4 days without power though. It turns out it was a defective control board with the Kohler which fortunately is covered under warranty. Our Geco technician resolved an ongoing problem with our Kohler generator that no other service providers we hired could. We cannot say enough about how thankful we are to once again have the peace of mind that comes with having a reliable automatic backup hydro power system again! Thank you from Prince Edward County!

Very disappointed with this company, with the Kolher generator, with their service and with the After Hour Service Plan I was required to purchase. I purchased the generator because I needed backup power for the sump pumps in my cottage basement in order to prevent flooding during power outages. I had the generator serviced annually and paid all invoices immediately. I played according to the rules. What a joke. Purchased a Kohler system about a year or so ago for over 12k. Paid $399 for a service call and maintenance about a month ago...20hrs on generator. Go out this morning a hear a buzzing sound. Gas line they installed is leaking....obviously wasn't doped correctly. Call Geco and get an after hours line. Call after hours line and explain to rep I have a gas leak. He tells me to call the gas company. He also states I'm not part of the after hours paid for program. He also says he doesn't have dope or a gas ticket...... read more
