I received outstanding service at this store. Even though I had never purchased anything there before, they took the time to give me helpful advice on how to pack my bike for travel and even offered me a bike box at no charge. That level of generosity and customer care really stood out. In the future, I will definitely be bringing my business here. They truly understand how to make customers feel valued.
My Wahoo Kicker and its fit/ connection to my bike failed. The team at Gears quickly reviewed the cassette on the kicker, made some adjustments to the skewer, the cassette and the fit and sent me on my way. Great guys, personable and customer service oriented.
Great local bike shop. Well stocked store and a really good mechanics department. They really add the personal touch that beats buying online.
I purchased my bike at Gears and have had many positive encounters with the mechanics. I have come in several times after unexpected mishaps and they have been able to help me on spot, and often do so without even asking for payment when it is a minor issue. Bought this conti ridetour tire from them, and in a month this has happened (tire bead split exposing the steel wire), leading to a couple of flats. Came back to the shop, got a nice lecture from a manager or owner about how tricky it is getting warranty on tires, how shipping it back to conti costs the shop money, how I have possibly done it myself by using wrong tools, and so on.
