Went to Tom after being told by another mechanic that I needed a new transmission after a service, Tom diagnosed the problem as low transmission fluid, he checked the level it was low, added fluid to the correct level (needed 1.5 litres more). All fixed, didn't charge me. Honest, professional, and a great guy. Highly recommend.
Tom is a bit of a unicorn in the car world. Excellent workmanship, strives to do the job right, and communicates really well. Very reasonably priced. If you need work done, Tom is your guy.
Would give more than 5 stars if possible. I came in with a general transmission check engine light that other places immediately pushed toward full transmission replacement. Tom diagnosed it on the spot and was very straightforward, it turned out to be a transmission solenoid, which is far less serious. While I was there my battery also died, and he helped jump-start the car without hesitation. Honest, professional, and a great guy. Highly recommend.
