Sad, but I can't stick with them any more... Since the move, we have tried to use the new store - but only once. When we got to the front door, it said - use main entrance. I walked towards the open door to the right and asked the slack-jawed yokel that appeared to be working on a lawnmower if this was the main entrance. He shrugged and said something, I don't know what. I asked if this was the way in, and he shook his head(thank goodness for the ability to communicate without trying to use one's mouth!). over-priced, poor service This used to be a great little hardware store, but the prices are increasing as the level of service is drastically decreasing. The store is in dire need of refurbishing. I would suggest the other hardware store in town, or making the drive to nearby Scranton.

Service is not what it used to be The customer service at Gay's True Value hardware store has really gone downhill. I like to "shop local" and do so whenever I can, however, when I need something from a hardware store I make the trip to Scranton or Wilkes-Barre, because the service at Gay's is really not what it used to be. The store is not as clean as it was, and the cashiers are a bit on the snippy side at times.
