Since 1946, this mom-and-pop store has sold knick-knacks, tchotchkes, trinkets and any other kitschy item under the Carolinian sun. With over 26,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space on seven levels, Gay Dolphin considers itself as the 'World's Largest Gift Store'. A small sampling of their shelves details things like shark's teeth, post-cards, T-shirts, sea sponges and other interesting products. Its location on Ocean Boulevard makes it almost an impossible shop to miss since it's in the middle of everything.

Every year I HAVE to come and shop. It's a national treasure and I LOVE the history that comes with it. Like a walk in another time.
Very large space with so many items. Everything from cheap trinkets to hard to find collector items. I highly recommend going there!
Favorite place in the whole wide world to just walk around in and enjoy all the knick-knacks. For 43 years I have come to visit the Gay Dolphin, and I hope it is there for another 43+ years for others to enjoy. It is the heart of the boardwalk, and I Love it! Stop by and feel the magic this store has and think of all the history it has seen. Our State should list it as a Historic Monument!!!
So much fun. Fantastic for beach souvenirs, as well as upscale decor items.
Great store! My first visit and I can't wait to go back!
