I had such a great experience as a new patient with Dr. Charles Gathrop. I was seen for persistent hoarseness and was honestly so impressed with how thorough and attentive he was. He performed a scope during my visit, took the time to explain everything he was seeing, and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns without making me feel rushed. I scheduled an appointment at their new Collegeville location. Several days before my appointment, I received an automated phone call confirming my appointment with the day, time and location. I arrived 25 minutes before the requested arrival time only to find the office locked. I called the number left by the automated confirmation call. Dr. Gawthrop was amazing, from working with me to avoid surgery to eventually realizing it was necessary. He supported my decisions and laid out all the options. My sinuses and adenoid removal went smoothly.

I struggled for four weeks with constant ear fullness. Every sound irritated me, and my left ear felt completely blocked. I went to an ENT who prescribed prednisone, even though I clearly said I can’t tolerate it. The next day, I had severe anxiety and heart palpitations. Best Doctor. I was able to schedule an appointment within two weeks to been seen in his office. Immediately he introduced himself and listened to exactly how I was feeling and my concerns. Dr. Gawthrop was very down to earth and suggested surgery. I was able to schedule surgery within a very reasonable amount of time. The morning of surgery, prior to surgery Dr. Gawthrop entered the room and took to time to welcome me and make sure I was ok with no concerns.
