She is one of the best physicians that I have ever had in my 82 years.. I will miss her greatly. She was a comfort in my time of need. She helped me get back on track..she may not even have know what a difference she made in my life.

Where did Dr. Gavis go after leaving the St. Francis practice?
We would never consider anyone but Dr. Gavis who has been our physician for 15+ years. She literally saved the life of a family member in June 2018 who had an infection after a hip replacement. The surgeon told her to ice it down. Dr. Gavis met her patient AT THE HOSPITAL (what doctor does that these days?) to make certain the tests were done per her instructions. The patient was admitted on the spot & is alive today SOLEY BY THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS of DR. GAVIS. She continually educates herself.
I highly recommend this primary care physician. She is knowledgeable and willing to work with each patient as an individual with complex needs rather than cookie cutter approach. She moved her practice to Wilmington, DE. but is still easy drive from former office in Media, PA. Only suggestion would be for practice to set up email that patients can use for pharmacy refill requests because information given on phone sometimes gets garbled.
