Loved our time here. I was traveling solo with two tween boys and the staff here made everything easy. Food was one of the high points for me- it usually requires a much higher price point to get food of this caliber. Breakfast (included!) was delivered daily and the options were fresh and healthy. The restaurant was delicious- I had homemade pierogies and a salad that tasted like they just plucked it from a garden! This review is for the restaurant only. We did not stay here. The inn and restaurant were very clean, and well kept. The building was beautiful. Service was friendly and polite. The food was good but not great. We ate our food and did not send anything back, but the food fell short and did not match the price point. Just about everything on the menu was $5 -$10 higher than it should have been for the quality. At these prices the food should be amazing and it wasnt.
We recently went to Gateway Lodge for dinner. The lodge itself is very nice. We loved the rustic feel and all the wood. It had a lot of charm. However dinner was underwhelming. We ordered the oyster which were fantastic but unfortunately that was the only good item of food we had. After waiting over 40 minutes, with only a couple other tables sat… My husband got the burger which had cheese that didn’t even cover the burger.
