It was good for what it was. Staff was 5/5, I talked to the same lady a couple times and she was very nice and helpful. She made a recommendation for beaches and remembered us after the first time checking in. I feel like she did a good job explaining about the renovation and letting us know what to expect. She was very apologetic that there was no ice and had a sign out saying to let her know if anyone needed ice and she'd help. The room itself was okay. Color scheme was...a choice. 3-night stay. The first floor is being renovated and there is a strong paint smell. No hot water the first night and following morning; it was reported to the front desk and resolved after a few hours (and after a cold shower). The shower pressure was weak. Overall the room was clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast room is nice and the selection was adequate.

Seems sketchy AF. Has super 8 listing online, but it's gateway 9, which I've never heard of, in person. Only 3 cars in the parking lot. Went down the street to La Quinta instead which had many cars and whose name matched the branding online & in person.
