We checked in after 11:00pm after a long day of driving. It was the only vacant hotel and advertised that breakfast was included. The property was being remodeled and the lobby was not complete. Once on the second floor the smell of mildew/mold was strong and had obviously been covered up with another scent that was equally offensive. The next morning we woke with horrible congestion due to the mildew/mold. We packed quickly to leave and speak with the front desk. It was good for what it was. Staff was 5/5, I talked to the same lady a couple times and she was very nice and helpful. She made a recommendation for beaches and remembered us after the first time checking in. I feel like she did a good job explaining about the renovation and letting us know what to expect. She was very apologetic that there was no ice and had a sign out saying to let her know if anyone needed ice and she'd help. The room itself was okay. Color scheme was...a choice.
