The food tasted ok. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return. The portion size was good. It’s clean, the staff were good and prompt. Being right next to the pool area is a nightmare. It’s like you’re in a giant music hall filled of screaming people and kids. I’ve seen others complain about price. Yes it’s a little high, but look where you are. Next to NYC and EWR, it costed us $72 for 2 pasta bowls with chicken, 2 drinks and some fries. Kind of what you’d expect for the area and being inside a hotel.

I enjoyed a delightful dining experience at Gateway City Kitchen And Bar ! The pizza 🍕 for lunch was a perfect start, and the salmon 🍣 for dinner was simply exquisite. Fast service and reasonable prices make this hotel bar a must-visit. I will definitely eat here again next time I’m staying at the Double Tree Hotel.

I really enjoyed my dinner here! I had the chicken katsu with broccoli, brown rice, and tomatoes — it was both delicious and surprisingly healthy. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Their iced tea was also really good and paired perfectly with the meal. On top of that, the service was excellent and made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this spot for dinner!

If you’re staying at the Double Tree (which is a good hotel experience) do yourself a favor and walk over to Ted’s Grill Next door. While the food at the Gateway is good, it’s really expensive and you will wait nearly an hour regardless of what you order. They also don’t care about allergies. My husband and I brought our one year old who is allergic to egg and when we ask... read more
