RecommendedDr. Dave is a Lifesaver!
I can't say enough about Gateway Animal Hospital. They were the only vets to care for our Westie, Zoe for 12 years. They took amazing care of her, and were always very compassionate. I like that they are cautious when recommending a procedure. Our dog tore her meniscus. Rather then trying to bill us for an expensive surgery that I would have been willing to pay for, they suggested she rest and see if it healed on its own with time. In fact, that worked. When we get a new dog we will be coming back to Gateway.
This is a fantastic animal hospital. My wife and I have been bringing our dogs to see Dr. Walker and Dr Brenner and the staff for 18 years now. Next time you stop in tell the Doc Kaniq sent you.

Dr. Walker is the one to choose when nothing less than the best will do Dr. Walker is the most incredible vet I've ever known. He treated one of my dog's bladder stones when other vets were unable to. His compassionate care gave my bichon, who had terminal kidney failure, an extra 2.5 months of QUALITY life when other vets said the only option was to put her to sleep. Dr. Walker is AWESOME Dave Walker is the most extraordinary vet, not to mention person, I have ever met. He is extremely knowledgeable and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to a diagnosis, solving a pet health issue, etc. He is caring and compassionate and makes you feel that you and your pet are the most important thing he has on his calendar. November Although I would recommend Gateway Animal Hospital for routine care, that would be the extent of anything positive I would say about them. Many years ago, when I was very young, I started going there with multiple pets I was taken aback by one vets dishonesty and audacity after one of my pets was brutally attacked and injured by a vicious neighbor, and had to be euthanized immediately. Expert care ... reasonable price I usually don't write reviews for stuff but I love Gateway Animal Hospital so much!! My one cat Toby ADORES Dr. Walker and I won't take him to anyone else. Dr. Walker really takes the time to hold Toby and make him calm and comfortable before beginnning the exam. He really takes his time and addresses all of my questions. My other cat, two dogs, and any number of found strays are a little more amenable to change and have seen Dr. Brenner and she is just as competent and caring as Dr. Walker. ... read more
Gateway Animal Hospital and Dr. Walker are Gr8! Dr. Walker and his crew are the best! I have taken my dogs and cat to Gateway for a few years. Before that we used several vets in Wayne that seemed more interested in padding the bill than the health of my pets. Dr. Walker is just the opposite. We always leave knowing that our pets have been given the best care possible. Dr. Walker is a gem-really!
