Pretty Good Service- If you know what to ask for The staff was great day of procedure and sent me home feeling great. Billing was outrageous, as previously mentioned, but the office did allow me to make payment arrangements on what my insurance didn't pay. I called them and they set up 6 equal payments- 6 months- which isn't pay, and interest free- keeping me out of collections too. Not a cost effective alternative for outpatient surgery I was disappointed upon receiving my bill to see two charges for anesthesia. One charge was from the CRNA or certified registered nurse anesthetist, and a separate bill was from the medical doctor who oversaw the procedure, an anesthesiologist. Had this same procedure been performed at the hospital, there would have been one bill. The Staff is great but the company isn't I had a double mastectomy at Gateway Surgery Center. The procedure went well and they did a great job of preparing me to come home. However, as a company, Gateway Surgery Center is out for the money. My insurance paid for MOST of the bill. I was left with almost 2,000 dollars out of pocket. I am paying $100 a month, but because I didn't pay IN FULL in 30 days they have turned my account over to a collection agency. Not many people can pay that much all at once.
