Gates Automotive Service will and does give you confidence that your vehicle will be repaired or maintained with quality service and parts. They maintain both of my vehicles as well as my sister's. Quality service, parts, and technicians will give you reasons to make Gates your only auto repair shop.
I have tested a few mechanics in Louisville, but there was always some aspect to the service I wasn't super happy with. Took my Subaru in here to get some suspension work done. I don't have a bunch of the tools to do the work myself currently but know my way around my car, and knew roughly what the issue was at hand, but didn't necessarily tell them that I knew to test the waters. Great service, trustworthy, and quality work. They don't try to get you to fix things that don't need it and give e excellent advice on auto maintenance
I was very impressed with Gates Automotive. The atmosphere was friendly and they made a point of remembering people. It was my first time there but I could tell it was a sample friendly establishment. I highly recommend them.
I can't say they are the best in town - because I won't bother trying out other places. Every time I bring my car here I am given fair advice and never oversold. David and Robert keep customer service at the front of every encounter and I appreciate them calling me by name for years.
