Excellent hotel with outstanding staff! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed the pool and the onsite fitness center. The property has been fully renovated, and you can truly see the positive changes with all the progress they’ve made and continue to make every day. They overcharged us by over $3,000 on our credit card. Then they acknowledged that the charge was an error but refused to issue a credit or refund and told us to take it up with our credit card company. Very unprofessional and honestly felt scammy.
The hotel is very nice. The decor, the staff, and seating areas are all very nice. We had 2 rooms on 2 separate occasions (we took an overnight to Mackinac). The first room was cold and the blankets were a sheet with a thin blanket on top. The second room was hot. We couldn't get the AC to really cool the room. And it was loud. It woke us up several times. Sounded like a motorcycle. The food is basically hotel food. Expect powdered eggs, basic coffee, etc. But free is free, so manage your expectations. I went to stay here a bit back with some friends, and Ken was awesome! We had issues with the hot tub being too cold and he went above and beyond to get the tub fixed. He also fixed our room keys! He was very kind and helpful! Recommend 10/10
