Dr Abou Assi came highly recommended by my pcp last year and I am so thankful to have found such a caring ,professional GI physician to manage my Care. He is very knowledgeable , hears your concerns, and finds solutions. He takes pride is his speciality. He and his team get my all praises . Dr abou Assi made me feel safe and reassuring during my procedure and he always makes me feel welcomed and valued as a patient when going into his office as well as his team. Watch out!! This is not a safe doctor for endoscopy or colonoscopy. He is dangerous and careless. Back in 2009, Dr. Abou-Assi was performing a routine EDG on my husband to inflate a small balloon to stretch the scar tissue at his anamostis from his gastric bypass and the dr pushed the balloon too far and perforated his intestines. He then removed the balloon and did not even check the work he had done, where he would have easily seen the hole he tore in my husband's intestine.
