Watch out!! This is not a safe doctor for endoscopy or colonoscopy. He is dangerous and careless. Back in 2009, Dr. Abou-Assi was performing a routine EDG on my husband to inflate a small balloon to stretch the scar tissue at his anamostis from his gastric bypass and the dr pushed the balloon too far and perforated his intestines. He then removed the balloon and did not even check the work he had done, where he would have easily seen the hole he tore in my husband's intestine.
