I saw Dr. Maryam Nisa who did not let me get a word in edge-wise. After 5 minutes of her talking over me, she said that since my pain is in my stomach, I have gastritis. She prescribed me a proton pump inhibitor. I had seen 3 other GI doctors before her, none of which thought I had this. It seemed like she just wanted me out of the office as quickly as possible.
The worst G.I. ever only person that’s good. There is the MA she has she’s the best. But the doctor, that my girlfriend Seen. Didn’t give any interest. He didn’t really care and you could tell. I don’t know if he’s overworked, but I guess because he’s saying things so much he is just thinking that everybody have the same diagnosis he didn’t really read up or look into her chart and it’s sad we left there with more questions than we had before. We got there for another doctor because this place will never see us again.

Rebecca Mooney is kind and understanding. The office staff, however, are not. It takes an awfully long time for someone to even answer the phone. When they do, they are impatient, rude, and abrupt. In addition, the wait times at the office are egregious. For some reason the long wait time at this office is normalized. It is very disheartening to go through this; I have never experienced this amount of dismissal from office staff with GBMC before. Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor’s office. I went to a scheduled appointment with PA Rebecca Mooney, for a colonoscopy consult on Monday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Upon arrival, I was asked to pay a $20 copay and was directed to the waiting room. I was quickly called into the examination room to speak with an attendant.
